The following outlines the features that collect data, what data is transmitted, and the console locations where features can be disabled.

Product Registration and Authentication

Feature Description

This feature enables product license activation and user authentication for accessing product features.

Data Collected

• IP address
• Activation Code
• Product ID
• GUID

Console Location

Scanning Tool > Device Activation

Console Settings

This feature cannot be disabled. The only way to prevent the transmission of data back to TXOne or Trend Micro servers (depending on which company issued the license) is to not click the Activate button.

ActiveUpdate

Feature Description

Download latest anti-malware patterns and engines.

Data Collected

• IP Address

Console Locations

• Management Program > Overview (manual updates)
• Management Program > Overview > Scheduled Update (scheduled updates)
• Scanning Tool > Status & Update (immediate updates)
• Scanning Tool Agent > Settings (agent-level configuration)

Console Settings

Users can prevent transmission by not clicking "Update Now" or by disabling scheduled update settings.
