Prior to implementing TXOne Networks solutions, Edison faced challenges common in OT environments, including long asset lifecycles, unpatchable legacy systems, and obsolete machines requiring specialized protection. Security updates were complex, costly, and limited to scheduled maintenance windows, while traditional ICT tools such as firewalls and IPS—though functional—often proved too heavy for sensitive OT systems.
